Abshere Residence

Madison, Wisconsin

Innovation and creativity were critical in addressing flooding issues at this residential homesite. Along with remediating stormwater issues, the clients also wanted to enhance their outdoor living space, preserve an existing redbud tree, and redesign their failing driveway, which also contributed to the water issues onsite.

A comprehensive and thoughtful plan was developed to address all of the goals holistically. This led to the construction of a split tread, eco-driveway, a patio space created from repurposed clay pavers, and several rain gardens to manage stormwater. Stormwater from the rooftop, patio and driveway is effectively and beautifully managed onsite away from the home and foundation.
