This farm-to-table bistro wanted a safe, ADA-accessible, low-maintenance, inviting outdoor space that tied well into their regionally based, historic building. Existing turf lawn was removed and an interactive, meandering armored cobble swale along with a bridge, steppingstones, and a lush no-mow turf lawn was installed in place. Native pollinator-friendly perennials were placed in the organic hardwood mulch beds. Stunning nature-inspired accent lights illuminate the space allowing community members to gather after business hours. A circular dyed concrete patio strategically separates the gray walkways. All materials were locally sourced and the entire block’s water is now managed.
