The desire for a landscape master plan tailored to fit the divergent styles of two homeowners gave Formecology, LLC owner John Gishnock III an opportunity to design a landscape with both a formal and natural feel. Highly organized beds of vibrant native perennials enhance the entrance and encircle the home, while pairie plantings along the property line enclose the site and provide habitat for wildlife. Pathways through the prairie provide access to many different features, including a council ring and a partially restored lowland forest. Coupled with the homeowners individual design and installation efforts the contrasting styles are brought together into cohesive plantings and outdoor spaces that are functional, environmentally beneficial, and aesthetically pleasing.
