A low-maintenance refined landscape was created by replacing existing high maintenance non-native plants and mulch with bold mass plantings featuring native perennials and cobblestone groundcover. A “Meadowsweet Rain Garden” along the sidewalk collects stormwater from the roof and directs visitors to the entrance, while ornamental trees soften sharp corners of the house and provide visual interest. This thoughtful design integrates the client’s landscape with the traditional aspects of a suburban neighborhood.
