This landscape master plan designed by Formecology, LLC owner, John J. Gishnock III, illustrates the multiple functions of a seemingly simple landscape feature. While the main function of the large bi-level rain garden is to capture stormwater from the roof and property, it also encloses the exposed corner lot and quiets traffic noise, creating a beautiful private landscape. Carefully planned native perennials and shade trees visually screen the road and offer alluring views of natural elements and desirable wildlife, like songbirds and butterflies.
