Cross Plains, WI
This intriguing galactic rain garden was designed for homeowners on a rural lot with a special interest in stargazing. A flagstone patio intertwines with rain gardens to direct stormwater through a galaxy of native plants and stone. The spiraling landscape feature was designed to be enjoyed both from the ground and from a second story deck where the clients spend many evenings watching the stars. This project shows the integration of artistic form with locally quarried stone and an environmentally beneficial rainwater capture system.
Eco-friendly sustainable landscaping.
